Once you click on the “Download Monsterinsights” button a ZIP file will be downloaded (might be downloaded to your computer).
Now navigate to your WordPress dashboard and click on Plugins→ Add New →
Once you click on “Add New” you will come across “Add Plugin [Upload Plugin]” option
Once you click on “Upload Plugin” you will get a screen similar to the one shown below.
Now you have to upload the ZIP file which you had downloaded to your computer. Once you have chosen the ZIP file then click on “Install Now”
Once you click on “Install Now” then you should Activate the plugin. Once you have activated the plugin you will have to enter the license key which you can find under Downloads when you login to your Monsterinsights account. Refer to the below given screenshot.
2. Paste the License Key
Once you have found the License Key you will copy it and paste it inside the space provided for License key. Let us see how you can do that.
Navigate to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the “Insights” section. Now click on Insights–> Settings (You can refer to the below screenshot to understand this step better)
Once you click on Settings you will come across a box wherein you have to enter the LIcense Key (refer to the below screenshot)
Once you have entered the license key then we would go to the next step that is installing the Monsterinsights Ecommerce Addon.
3. Install Monsterinsights E-commerce Add-on
In order to install Monsterinsights E-commerce Add-on kindly follow the below given steps.
1. Navigate to your WordPress dashboard
2. Go to Insights–> Addons (as shown in the below screenshot)
Once you click on Addons you will come across several Addons which are provided by Monsterinsights. Out of these addons you have to choose the “Ecommerce Addon” we have shown a screenshot below .
Below that you will see an Install button click on it and then you will have to activate the addon. So once you click on Install button it will change to Activate and you are supposed to activate in order to make use of the Ecommerce addon.
Once you have activated the Monsterinsights Ecommerce Add-on you will now have to enable Enhanced Ecommerce tracking in Google Analytics. In the next steps we will see how you can enable enhanced ecommerce tracking in Google Analytics
4. Enable Enhanced E-commerce Tracking in Google Analytics
1. In order to enable enhanced E-Commerce tracking you will have to login to your Google Analytics account.
2. Once you have logged in to your Google Analytics account then click on Admin section from the Google Analytics (you will find a Gear symbol/ Settings icon at the bottom left corner of your Google Analytics account.
3. Once you click on the Gear/ Settings Icon you will see an enlarged Admin section (as shown in the below screenshot) which contains Account level, Property level, view level details.
Important Note: When you login if you have several properties then you need to choose the property for which you wish to Enable Ecommerce tracking
4. You will see “Ecommerce Settings” under the View section as highlighted in the above screenshot. Once you click on “Ecommerce Settings” you will get a screen similar to the one shown below.
You have to toggle the switch of “Enable Ecommerce” as well as “Enable Enhanced Ecommerce Reporting” as shown below.
Step 5: Enable Enhanced Ecommerce Tracking in Monsterinsights
So the last step in our process would be to enable Enhanced Ecommerce tracking in Monsterinsights. Follow the steps given below to know how you can enable Enhanced Ecommerce tracking in Monsterinsights
1. Navigate to your WordPress dashboard
2. Go to Insights –> Settings –> Ecommerce Section
Once you click on settings you will see a section at the top from which you have to choose eCommerce (refer to the below given screenshot)
Once you click on eCommerce you will see the details about Ecommerce tracking. You will see an option like “Use Enhanced eCommerce“. Toggle the switch to turn it on.
Now Monsterinsights will detect Woocommerce on your WordPress website. Hurray we managed to install Woocommerce Google Analytics on Using Monsterinsights.
