Now that we got to know about WPForms let’s go ahead and explore more about Zapier and what is it used for and how it can make your life easier by automating things.
What is Zapier and How it can automate your Business

In the following steps we would do WPForms and Zapier integration
Step 1: Install the WPForms Plugin
In order to install the WPForms plugin follow the below given steps
Navigate to your WordPress dashboard
Go to the Plugins section –> Add New
Once you click on Add New you will come across a screen. In the search box type “WPForms” and then you will come across a screen similar to this one.
Now click on “Install Now” and then Activate the Plugin
Once you are done with the activation you will be asked for the License Key
Where to find the WPForms License Key
Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard and then go to the WPForms section –> Settings
Once you click on Settings you will get a window on the right hand side. Keep on scrolling down until you find the License Key section. You will come across a screen that’s similar to the one shown below
In case you have purchased the WPForms Pro plan then you can find the license key in the account which you used to purchase WPForms subscription
The next step would be install and activate the Zapier Addon
Step 2: Install the Zapier Addon
As stated earlier you will need to install the Zapier addon.
Navigate the WordPress dashboard–> Click on the WPForms section –> Now go to the Addons section
Once you click on Addons section you will come across a collection of all the addons provided by WPForms. Keep scrolling below on the Addons page until you come across the Zapier Addon. Now you have to install Zapier Addon.
You have to install and activate the Zapier Addon. Once the addon has been activated we need to connect it to the Zapier account.
In order to connect to the Zapier account follow the below given steps
Navigate to your WordPress dashboard –> WPForms –> Settings
Once you click on Settings you will come across a tab called Integrations. Click on it and keep scrolling down until you come across Zapier
Now click on Zapier as shown in the above screenshot. Then you will come across an API key for your website which you will need to enter later on so keep this tab open only
Make sure that you keep this tab open or copy your API key in your Notes section as we would need it in the later steps.
Once you have signed up / logged in to your Zapier account then click on “Make a Zap” as shown in the below screenshot.
We need to create a Zap in order to integrate WPForms with other applications.
Once you click on “Make a Zap” then you will come across a screen similar to the one shown below wherein you will have to enter the name of your Zap and choose the app (in our case it would be WPForms)
Give an appropriate name to your Zap and then in the search Box type WPForms and then select WPForms
Once you choose WPForms and click on it you will come across a screen similar to the one shown below
Once you click on Continue you will come across a screen similar to the one shown below.
Once you click on “Sign in to WPForms” you will have to enter the API key which we had got in one of the previous steps
In case you already have the Pro license of WPForms you will be able to see the API key. Copy that key and paste it in the field “API Key” as shown in the above screenshot. Besides this you will also have to enter your website URL and once you have entered both these details then click on “Yes, continue”
Once you click on Continue you will come across a screen where you will be asked to choose the appropriate WPForms account.
Once you have chosen the account then click on Continue.
In the next step you need to choose the form you want to use from the dropdown
The last step in this Integration is to Find Data. This is where you can pull in sample entries in order to test your connection. In order to do this. click on Test Trigger
If after clicking Test trigger things are working properly then you should be able to see form entries populate. Then click on Continue
Click on Continue. After this Zapier will ask you to Choose App and Event to which you would like to send your form details. The next steps will be dependent on the service you choose.
